OG Conference 2022

The conference was held in Busselton, WA, across two days with the agenda consisting of Rocscience software training presented by Alison McQuillan & Angela Li, team workshops with David Reid and a social afternoon with employees, partners and children.

The OG conference 2022 was the largest gathering of staff in our 6 year company history with 21 employees along with 20 partners and 10 children. There was time for socialising and lawn games at Caves House along with a couple of dinners with the whole OG family.

AusIMM 14th Underground Operators’ Conference

OG Director Ben Barsanti, Senior Geotechnical Engineers Chris Moulding & Dan Barnett attend the 14th AusIMM Underground Operators’ Conference in Perth. The 3 day event showcased a variety of technology and innovation ideas, terrific presentations across all mining disciplines with a heavy contingent of geotechnical topics. It was great to seeing many of our fantastic clients in attendance.

Annual OG Conference 2021

Following the success of our inaugural conference in 2019, we were excited to host another one in 2020 but we all know how 2020 turned out. Coordinating people across 5 states with travel restrictions and FIFO rosters was always going to be a challenge, but we found a small window at the end of February 2021 to get together.

The conference was held in Hobart across two days with the agenda consisting of technical presentations, guest speakers and a team activity. There was time for socialising and a couple of dinners with the whole OG family. A great few days and hoping the annual conference can continue in 2022.

A Social Evening to Say Thank You

To celebrate the people, clients and companies who have helped us along the way, we set off on an evening boat cruise from Perth’s Elizabeth Quay down to Fremantle and back.

While the OG journey is still just beginning, we feel its important to stop, reflect and say “thank you”!

Inaugural OG Conference

We held our first internal conference which provided an opportunity for nine of our employees to present on a topic of their choice. The content was excellent and there was plenty of interesting discussions across the afternoon.

We were very fortunate to have presentations from two highly regarded industry guest speakers, Ms Alex Atkins and Mr Frans Basson.

The day concluded with a team dinner including partners, a few refreshments and a great evening of socialising.
